    Die Klinik Gut und das Spital Oberengadin gründen eine gemeinsame Klinik für den Bewegungsapparat

    St. Moritz/Samedan, 2. Juli 2020. Die Klinik Gut und das Spital Oberengadin gehen gemeinsam in die Zukunft. Ab Sommer 2022 werden alle Patient/innen mit Beschwerden oder Verletzungen am Bewegungsapparat in einem neuen, gemeinsamen Zentrum im Spital Oberengadin behandelt. In St. Moritz entsteht eine gemeinsame Permanence für Notfälle und Sprechstunden, aber ohne Operationsbetrieb und Bettenstation.


    Die Stiftung Gesundheitsversorgung Oberengadin, zu der das Spital Oberengadin gehört, und die Klinik Gut AG haben eine Absichtserklärung unterzeichnet, um ihre bestehende Zusammenarbeit zu vertiefen und eine neue gemeinsame Klinik zu betreiben. Sie wollen alle Patientinnen mit Beschwerden, Verletzungen und Unfallfolgen am Bewegungsapparat künftig gemeinsam in Samedan behandeln.

    Der Ausbau der bestehenden Partnerschaft schaffe die Voraussetzungen, damit das Oberengadin auch mittel- bis langfristig über eine hochwertige, breite medizinische Versorgung für seine Einwohner und Gäste verfüge, sagten die Verantwortlichen der beiden Partner am Donnerstag in St. Moritz vor den Medien. Zusammen werden die Partner mehr Patienten behandeln und können so die Qualität der medizinischen Behandlung, die Erfahrung und Ausbildung ihrer Mitarbeitenden und die Wirtschaftlichkeit weiter stärken. Es sind keine Stellenreduktionen vorgesehen.

    Die übrigen Behandlungsgebiete des Spitals Oberengadin werden unverändert weiter angeboten. Auch die Tätigkeit der Klinik Gut in Nordbünden wird unabhängig von der Partnerschaft in Südbünden weitergeführt. Der Kanton Graubünden begrüsse die Vertiefung der Zusammenarbeit, wie der zuständige Regierungsrat Peter Peyer an der Medienorientierung vom Donnerstag sagte. Die Vertretungen der Gemeinden im Stiftungsrat der SGO hatten der Zusammenarbeit am Mittwoch einstimmig zugestimmt.

    Hintergrund

    Die private Klinik Gut AG und das zur Stiftung Gesundheitsversorgung Oberengadin (SGO) gehörende Spital Oberengadin schliessen ihre Orthopädie und Traumatologie des Bewegungsapparates im Engadin zusammen. Die Klinik Gut benötigt einen Ersatzstandort für ihr Stammhaus in St. Moritz. Gleichzeitig sucht die Stiftung Gesundheitsversorgung Oberengadin nach Möglichkeiten, die medizinische Versorgung Südbündens mittel- und langfristig zu sichern.

    Durch die Vertiefung der Zusammenarbeit kann das Spital Oberengadin noch stärker von der medizinischen Spezialisierung der Klinik Gut auf den Bewegungsapparat profitieren und seine hochwertige Infrastruktur besser auslasten.

    Die Klinik Gut kann künftig auf das breit aufgestellte, medizinische Angebot des Spitals Oberengadin inklusive einer Intensivstation zurückgreifen und auf den Bau einer neuen Klinik mit Operationssälen und Bettenstation verzichten. Gemeinsam realisieren die Partner in St. Moritz aber eine Permanence.

    Gemeinsame Klinik im Spital Samedan

    Alle Patientinnen und Patienten der beiden Partner sollen künftig in einer neuen, gemeinsamen Klinik im Spital Samedan operiert und hospitalisiert werden. Damit wird die seit Ende 2017 bestehende Kooperation vertieft. Da gemeinsam mehr Patienten behandelt werden, kann die Qualität für die Patienten weiter verbessert und die Wirtschaftlichkeit gestärkt werden.

    Die neue Klinik für Orthopädie und Traumatologie des Bewegungsapparates wird durch eine gemeinsame Gesellschaft betrieben. Sie wird im Spital Oberengadin eine ganze, grösstenteils ungenutzte Etage der Bettenstation und einen der drei modernen Operationssäle mieten, der heute ebenfalls selten genutzt wird. Reichen die fest gemieteten Kapazitäten in Spitzenzeiten nicht aus, kann die neue Klinik auf zusätzliche Räume und Mitarbeitende des Spitals Oberengadin zurückgreifen. Das übrige Angebot des Spitals Oberengadin bleibt unverändert bestehen, die Kompetenz der Unfallchirurgie wird durch die Zusammenarbeit aber weiter gestärkt.

    Neue Permanence für Notfälle und Sprechstunden in St. Moritz

    Während die Operationen und der Betrieb der Bettenstation in Samedan konzentriert werden, planen die beiden Partner in St. Moritz den Betrieb einer gemeinsamen Permanence. Sie bietet einen Notfalldienst an sieben Tagen der Woche, kleinere ambulante Eingriffe sowie Konsultationen durch Spezialärzte der Klinik Gut und des Spitals Oberengadin. Dabei soll sie nicht als Konkurrenz, sondern als Ergänzung zum Angebot der lokalen Ärzte und Therapeuten funktionieren.

    Die geplante Permanence kann zudem durch Praxen und Behandlungsräume von niedergelassenen Ärzten und Therapeuten ergänzt werden, so dass ein neues medizinisches Leistungszentrum in St. Moritz entstehen kann. Auch eine Zusammenarbeit mit dem im Projekt Serletta Süd geplanten Gesundheitshotel ist möglich. Über den Standort der Permanence in St. Moritz ist jedoch noch nichts entschieden. 

    Die medizinische Versorgung in Südbünden sichern

    Die regionale Gesundheitsversorgung und die Spitallandschaft stehen unter grossem Veränderungs- und Zentralisierungsdruck. Aufsichtsbehörden und Versicherer verlangen, dass Spitäler und Ärzte für ihre Behandlungen immer höhere Mindestfallzahlen pro Jahr erreichen, um so die Sicherheit, die medizinische Qualität und die Wirtschaftlichkeit der Behandlungen zu gewährleisten. 

    Ohne das Zusammengehen der beiden erfolgreichen Engadiner Kliniken wäre die stationäre medizinische Versorgung in Südbünden deshalb mittelfristig gefährdet. Durch die Schaffung des Zentrums in Samedan und der Permanence in St. Moritz wird das medizinische Versorgungsangebot aber an beiden Orten verbessert. Die gemeinsame Klinik schafft die Möglichkeit, mehr Einheimische und Gäste direkt in der Region zu behandeln, zusätzliche Patienten aus anderen Kantonen und dem Ausland anzuziehen und so nachhaltig zu wachsen und Arbeitsplätze zu sichern.

    Win-win-Situation durch Vertiefung der Kooperation

    Die SGO und die Klinik Gut gehen die vertiefte Zusammenarbeit beide aus einer Position der Stärke ein. Die SGO soll sich mit rund 30 und die Klinik Gut AG mit rund 70 Prozent an der neuen Betriebsgesellschaft beteiligen. Das Beteiligungsverhältnis entspricht der heutigen Marktposition der beiden Häuser im Bereich der Orthopädie und Traumatologie des Bewegungsapparates. 

    Im Bereich der Orthopädie arbeiten die beiden Kliniken schon seit Ende 2017 zusammen: Ärzte der Klinik Gut führen in Samedan Sprechstunden und Operationen für Patienten durch, welche unter Beschwerden am Bewegungsapparat leiden. In der Traumatologie, also der Behandlung von Unfallverletzungen am Bewegungsapparat, stehen die beiden Häuser heute in einem Konkurrenzverhältnis. Die Zusammenarbeit unter einem Dach wird die Behandlung von Unfallverletzungen aller Art weiter stärken.

    Das Spital Oberengadin verfügt über ungenutzte Kapazitäten. Die vierte Etage der Bettenstation und einer der drei modernen Operationssäle werden heute nur selten genutzt. Dennoch verursachen diese Räume laufende Kosten. Durch die Schaffung des neuen, gemeinsamen Zentrums können sie nun langfristig sinnvoll genutzt werden und generieren Einnahmen für das Spital Oberengadin. Ebenso beteiligt sich das neue Zentrum an den laufenden Kosten des Spitals für die Notfallstation, die Intensivstation und eine Reihe interner Dienstleistungen vor und hinter den Kulissen. 

    Die SGO und die Klinik Gut beschäftigen im Oberengadin zusammen mehr als 600 Mitarbeitende und bilden Fachpersonal und Mediziner/innen aus. Eine Reduktion der gesamten Zahl an Arbeitsplätzen ist durch die Partnerschaft nicht vorgesehen und es ist auch nicht mit Entlassungen zu rechnen. Jedoch wird die Partnerschaft helfen, das Gesundheitswesen in Südbünden für Mitarbeitende noch attraktiver zu machen und die Ausbildungsangebote zu stärken.

    Eröffnung im Frühling 2022

    Die Klinik Gut kann durch die Zusammenlegung des Operationsbetriebes und der Bettenstation auf einen Teil ihrer geplanten Investitionen für eine neue Klinik in St. Moritz verzichten und so ebenfalls Kosten sparen. Das Unternehmen sucht seit mehr als 15 Jahren nach einem neuen Standort für sein Stammhaus in St. Moritz. Das Projekt «Serletta Süd», wo ein Klinikneubau und ein Gesundheitshotel entstehen sollen, wird durch Gerichtsprozesse blockiert, so dass sich die Klinik Gut nach Alternativstandorten umsehen musste. 

    Die Klinik Gut Fläsch und die Praxisstandorte der Klinik Gut in Nordbünden, St. Gallen, Tessin und Zürich sind nicht Teil der Partnerschaft.

    Zustimmung von Gemeinden und dem Kanton 

    «Die enge Zusammenarbeit des Spitals Oberengadin mit der Klinik Gut ist ein Beispiel, wie sich die Bündner Regierung zukunftsfähige Strukturen vorstellt», sagte Regierungsrat Peter Peyer, Vorsteher des Departements für Justiz, Sicherheit und Gesundheit am Donnerstag vor den Medien. «Zusammen sind die beiden Partner besser in der Lage, die regionale Versorgung von Bewohnern der Region und Gästen, die hier Ferien machen, zu gewährleisten. Ich freue mich über diese Kooperation.» Zustimmend äusserten sich auch die Vertreter/innen der Gemeinden: im Stiftungsrat der SGO sagten sie einstimmig JA zur Fortsetzung der Verhandlungen über die Kooperation.

    In der nun unterzeichneten Absichtserklärung zwischen der Klinik Gut AG und der SGO sind die Grundrisse der geplanten Partnerschaft festgelegt. Bis Ende 2020 werden die detaillierten Verträge ausverhandelt. Nach deren Abschluss beginnt die Umsetzung, zu der die Organisation, aber auch die bauliche Weiterentwicklung im Spital in Samedan gehören. Ab dem Frühsommer 2022 soll das gemeinsame Zentrum in Samedan Patientinnen und Patienten behandeln. Die gemeinsame Permanence für Notfälle und Sprechstunden in St. Moritz soll ihren Betrieb ein Jahr später aufnehmen.

    Über die Klinik Gut

    Das Fachgebiet der Klinik Gut ist der menschliche Bewegungsapparat. Spezialärzte für Schulter, Ellenbogen, Hände, Wirbelsäule, Hüfte, Knie, Sprunggelenk und Füsse sowie Schmerz- und Physiotherapeuten behandeln Beschwerden aus Krankheit oder Unfallfolgen. Die Sportmediziner der Klinik Gut betreuen Einzelathleten und Mannschaften aus dem In- und Ausland. 

    Das private Bündner Klinikunternehmen gehört sieben Partnerärzten. Es betreibt zwei Kliniken in St. Moritz und Fläsch, Praxisstandorte in Chur, Bad Ragaz, Buchs (SG), Zürich Flughafen und Ascona sowie Partnerschaften mit den Regionalspitälern Savognin, Samedan und Poschiavo und beschäftigt rund 230 Mitarbeitende. 2019 wurden in den Kliniken und Praxen der Klinik Gut mehr als 2'600 stationäre Patienten operiert und etwas mehr als 22'000 ambulante Konsultationen und Operationen durchgeführt. Fast zwei Drittel der behandelten Patienten sind allgemeinversichert. 

    Über das Spital Oberengadin

    Das überregionale Spital Oberengadin in Samedan ist das zweitgrösste Krankenhaus Graubündens und mit über 360 Mitarbeitenden der grösste Ganzjahresarbeitgeber im Engadin. Das Spital gewährleistet die medizinische Grundversorgung von Einheimischen und Gästen. Zudem unterhält das Spital Oberengadin ein umfassendes, interdisziplinäres 24-Stunden-Notfallzentrum und eine anerkannte Intensivpflegestation mit 6 Betten. Das Spital Oberengadin verfügt weiter über einen Helikopterlandeplatz und eine Basis der Rettung Oberengadin. Das Spital Oberengadin kooperiert im Bereich der Orthopädie seit Jahren mit der Klinik Gut. In anderen Bereichen arbeitet das Spital Oberengadin mit verschiedenen Spitälern des Kantons zusammen.

    Im Jahr 2019 wurden im Spital Oberengadin 2'892 stationäre Patienten sowie 20'828 Patienten ambulant behandelt. Ein Viertel aller behandelten Patienten sind halbprivat- / privatversichert.

    For how long do we process your personal data?

    We process and store your personal data only to the extent and for the duration necessary for fulfilment of our contractual and legal obligations, or otherwise necessary for the purposes pursued via the processing, e.g. for the duration of the entire treatment contract and beyond that in accordance with statutory retention periods (particularly those arising from public legislation on health, or on health and accident insurance) and the duty to keep records. As soon as your personal data is no longer required for the aforementioned purposes or a prescribed retention period expires, it will be deleted or blocked as a matter of course and to the greatest possible extent.

    How do we protect your personal data?

    The security of your personal data is important to us. We take appropriate and suitable technical and organisational measures to ensure the security of your personal data and to protect it against unauthorised or unlawful processing and/or accidental loss, alteration, disclosure or access. This includes, among other things, the use of recognised encryption procedures (e.g. SSL encryption). Access to your personal data is only granted to those staff, service providers or partners of ours who need such access for a business-related purpose or to perform their duties.

    We also take our in-house data protection seriously. Our staff and the service providers whom we engage are obliged to maintain confidentiality and to comply with the provisions of data protection law. Moreover, they are only granted access to your personal data to the extent necessary.

    To whom do we pass on your personal data?

    As a matter of principle, we treat your personal data as confidential and only pass it on if you have expressly consented to this, if we are legally obliged or entitled to do so, or if this is necessary in order to assert our rights, in particular to assert claims arising from the contractual relationship. Here, the legal regulations regarding passing on personal data to third parties are adhered to as a matter of course.

    In order to provide our services, to comply with contractual or legal regulations, or for the other purposes mentioned in this data protection declaration, it may be necessary for us to disclose your personal data to the following categories of recipients:

    • Referring doctors who carry out treatment or subsequent treatment, or other health professionals or service providers involved in the treatment
    • Insurance companies (particularly health, accident and supplementary insurers, and medical examiners)
    • External service providers whom we engage to provide services, to process contracts or to provide our infrastructure and technologies for examination or treatment (e.g. laboratories, pharmacies, debt collection companies, IT service providers, payment service providers, outsourcing partners, hosting providers, and companies with whom we offer what is available on our website)
    • Legal representatives, authorities, offices or courts
    • Relatives or (unless you object) your other visitors
    • Electronic patient record (EPR in accordance with the Federal Act on the Electronic Patient Record, EPRA)

    If we engage third parties to provide our services, we take appropriate legal precautions, as well as adequate technical and organisational measures, to ensure protection of your personal data in accordance with the relevant legal regulations.

    Disclosure is generally made within Switzerland, or else to recipients either in EU or EEA member states or in other states with appropriate data protection legislation. If we make any disclosure to recipients in other countries, we do so on the basis of recognised guarantees (particularly contractual agreements) or with your consent in individual cases.

    What rights do you have?

    Right to information

    You have the right to demand information from us regarding whether we process your personal data and, if so, what data.

    Right to rectification

    You have the right to demand rectification of your personal data if incorrect and the completion of any incomplete personal data of yours in our systems.

    Right to erasure

    You have the right to demand that your personal data be deleted, e.g. when the data is no longer needed for the purposes pursued. However, in cases where we are nevertheless obliged or entitled to retain your personal data due to legal or contractual obligations, we may restrict or block your personal data only to the extent necessary.

    Right to restriction of processing

    You have the right to demand that we restrict the processing of your personal data.

    Right to data portability

    Visiting our website

    When our website is visited, our servers temporarily record each instance of access in a log file. The following user data, device data and personal data are thus collected without any action on your part and stored by our hosting ISP (internet service provider):

    This data is collected and processed solely for the purpose of enabling use of our website (connection establishment), to ensure lasting system security and stability, to optimise our website offering and for internal statistical purposes. This constitutes our legitimate interest in processing the data. This data is not combined with any other data sources. In addition, this data cannot be traced back to individual persons.     Applications

    If you apply for a job with us, we process the personal data that you supply as part of the application procedure. Alongside the details you provide about yourself and about your education, work experience and skills, this includes the usual correspondence data such as postal address, email address and telephone number. Moreover, all documents that you submit in connection with the application, e.g. letter of motivation, curriculum vitae and references, are processed. Applicants can also voluntarily provide us with additional information. This data is only stored, evaluated, processed or forwarded within our organisation in connection with your application. It may also be processed for statistical purposes (e.g. reporting). If this occurs, it is done in such a way that no conclusions can be drawn about individual persons.

    If we enter into an employment contract with you, the transferred data is stored for the purpose of handling the employment relationship in compliance with legal regulations.

    Provision of contractual services

The personal data processed in this way, and the type, scope and purpose of the processing required in each case, are thus determined by the respective contract arranged with you or the services that you request.

    If we store your personal data on the basis of a contractual relationship, this data remains stored for at least the duration of the contractual relationship and for no longer than the duration of the limitation periods for possible claims on our part, or of legal or contractual retention obligations.

    What are cookies and when are they used?

    In certain cases, we use so-called cookies. These are small text files that are placed and stored on your computer with the aid of a browser. They do not cause any damage to your computer. They cannot execute any programs or transfer any viruses. Cookies serve to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure.
