For us, quality means safety, trust and continuous development. Quality management at Klinik Gut is based on international standards and proven procedures. All experience gained from daily practice is incorporated into an ongoing improvement process – so that we can offer our patients the best possible treatment at all times.

Patient safety 

The safety of our patients is our top priority. To ensure the safe and error-free treatment of our patients, we rely on the consistent implementation of the following measures:

Consistent hygiene management
Regular hygiene inspections, infection detection training and counselling are among the most important tasks of our infection prevention.

Incident management / CIRS
The Gut Clinic operates an active CIRS (Critical Incident Reporting System) reporting portal, in which incidents are reported. Our aim is to learn from mistakes, avoid future errors and promote an internal learning culture.

Safe surgery checklist
In line with the WHO and the Swiss Patient Safety Foundation, we use the safe surgery checklist for all surgical procedures.

Patient-centredness

The well-being and satisfaction of our patients are at the centre of everything we do. In order to continuously optimise our services, measuring patient satisfaction is a central component of our quality management. We use both internal and external survey tools for this purpose.

We also ensure that critical feedback is handled professionally with our complaints and feedback management system. We are convinced that these concerns in particular represent an opportunity for improvement for us.

Quality certifications

The success of a company is based on the interaction of many individual elements. The EFQM model is based on this principle and offers a system with which all relevant success factors of the company can be identified, correlated and systematically improved.

The Klinik Gut works to the highest quality standards and has received multiple awards. These include the EFQM "Outstanding Organisation" quality label and the Sport Medical Base approved by Swiss Olympic label for our sports medicine expertise.

Quality circle

Better together: Together with go:h Gelenkchirurgie Hannover and Orthopädische Praxisklinik Neuss, we form a quality circle. We continuously improve the quality of treatment by exchanging experiences, organising case conferences and working on joint projects.

Certified training centre

Our clinic is recognised by the Swiss Institute for Continuing Medical Education (SIWF) as a training centre for orthopaedic surgery and traumatology. This means we promote medical excellence – today and in the future.

Since 2026, our clinic has also been awarded the label, which designates us as a training center for the specialty of "Specialized Traumatology."
