Hip joint tightness problems

A bottleneck in the hip joint occurs when the femur and acetabulum collide. This can damage the cartilage and joint labrum, causing pain and restricted movement.

Surgery is recommended if conservative measures do not bring any improvement and the symptoms persist.

The procedure is performed as a minimally invasive arthroscopy. The bottleneck is removed and damaged tissue is smoothed or repaired.

The leg is gradually loaded in the initial phase, while healing is supported by physiotherapy and thrombosis prophylaxis. The course of rehabilitation can vary depending on the individual condition.
