Tennis and golfer's elbow
Initially, the focus is on conservative treatment. This includes immobilisation, physiotherapy, anti-inflammatory measures and infiltrations. An operation is only considered if these therapies do not bring lasting improvement.
The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis under short-acting anaesthesia. The pain-conducting nerves in the affected bone are deactivated in a targeted manner and the overloaded muscles are relieved. This procedure reduces pain and improves the resilience of the arm.
After the operation, the elbow is briefly immobilised and physiotherapy supports the recovery of mobility.
