Anaesthesia

Anästhesie

Modern anaesthesia procedures mean that we can ensure surgical interventions are performed safely and effectively. By using regional procedures, we help to optimise your postoperative recovery.

Modern anaesthesia procedures

Many procedures can be performed under local anaesthesia. Others require general anaesthesia, which is combined with regional anaesthesia whenever possible and appropriate. Our highly qualified anaesthesia team cares for patients before, during and after the procedure.

In a preliminary consultation, patients are thoroughly assessed before each procedure, concomitant conditions and therapies are recorded and optimised, and finally an individualised treatment plan is drawn up. During the operation, we monitor vital bodily functions.

After the procedure, we offer effective pain management using modern regional anaesthesia and painkillers. We accompany you through the entire process and ensure that it is conducted safely and professionally.

Spectrum of treatment

Our clinic specialises in:

  • Perioperative care: care before, during and after the operation
  • Outpatient pain management: particularly through spinal interventions

Special features

We use state-of-the-art ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia – including catheter techniques if necessary – to provide optimal pain management. We also use medical hypnosis to alleviate pain and anxiety and to optimise the use of painkillers. Using acupuncture, e.g. to fight nausea and vomiting, we help to prevent postoperative discomfort.
