Multilevel surgery in cerebral palsy

“Multilevel surgery” in children with cerebral palsy

Major operations are frequently necessary for mobile children with cerebral palsy to improve or at least retain mobility. The surgical procedures that need to be performed are decided upon on the basis of a physical examination and a gait analysis. This kind of operation involves several minor operations being performed at different points in one or even both legs. This procedure is called “multilevel surgery”.
