Ms. Veyrat.
The first patient with a Corail hip joint. Although she suffered from a severe osteoporosis, Ms. Veyrat was a very active 56-year-old woman. She was a passionate alpine skier and mountain climber. In August 1986, she suffered a femoral neck fracture in an accident in the mountains. Ms. Veyrat was operated on by Dr. Machenaux in the Clinique d’Argonnay in Annecy (F) who implanted the first Corail hip joint. In January 2006, she continued to be very well and she still enjoys winter sports with her family and friends. Ms. Veyrat is only one of many people who have benefited from the reliability of the Corail® hip system.
